Between 1972 and 1975, world alpine skiing competitions, in the descent mode, were dominated by two great stars, the Swiss Bernhard Russi and Rolland Collombin. Their confrontation on the slopes and their rivalry, incited by the media, marked an era. The country became paralyzed in front of the television. Neither rivalry nor their characters, diametrically opposed, were able to destroy their friendship.
