On August 28, 2025, the 40th anniversary of the first Catalan ascent to the summit of Everest was commemorated. This milestone, which marked a generation and represents one of the country's most remembered feats, was the result of the drive, effort and talent of a team of mountaineers who took Catalonia to the roof of the world. The Festival wants to pay tribute to all the members of the expedition: Conrad Blanch, Nil Bohigas, Òscar Cadiach, Jordi Camprubí, Jordi Canals, Lluís Gómez, Enric Lucas, Jordi Magrinyà, Joan Massons, Xavier Pérez-Gil, Toni Ricart, Miquel Sánchez, Toni Sors, ​​Carles Vallès, and the Nepalese colleagues who helped them carry out this legendary expedition, Narayan Shrestha, Ang Karma, Shambu Tamang, Nawang Yonden and Nima Dorje.
