Red island, eighth continent or Lemuria are the best-known nicknames that the island of Madagascar receives. A country that has attracted a lot of attention geographically and biologically speaking, but that has not awakened so many in other aspects throughout its history.
Who better to accompany us to discover a unique territory like Madagascar than its people?
With the permission of the lemurs and the nearly 200,000 remaining species, we turn our gaze to the people born in Madagascar, the Malagasy, and put the spotlight on their personal stories and the problems they face in their day-to-day lives. All this without forgetting the beliefs and historical facts that turn this island, located more than 350 km from the African coast, into an extremely unique place.
We open the festival by getting to know the island's most emblematic creatures - yes! -, but also discovering other facets that make up the identity of this territory.
An act that starts from a very personal point of view, to bring us closer to the reality of the red island.
