Patagonian mountaineering has always been difficult and dangerous. There are two main reasons, the weather and the difficulty of accessing the mountains. The documentary draws a parallel between one of its pioneers, Casimiro Ferrari, "il ragno" (the spider) from Lecco, and the young Matteo della Bordella, who repeats his paths in a modern style. The aesthetics and drama of the events, however, remain unchanged over time.
