Winter of 1939. Magda, fifteen years old, is an excellent skier. She joins the Polish Resistance and helps pass documents and fugitives to Slovakia, through the mountains. One day she learns that a group of 24 pilots must urgently cross the border, since the Gestapo is chasing them. She devises a risky plan to lure the Nazis and allow the pilots to pass without being seen. Magda risks her life as she goes skiing into the forest.
