NOMADE AUF ZEIT
Valentin Macke. Austria. 2026. 91’
The film follows Valentin on a two-year journey eastward from Austria. With no fixed plan, he travels by hitchhiking, sleeping on strangers’ sofas and under the stars. Along the way, he meets a wide range of people and hears their stories. At the heart of the film, however, is his experience living with a nomadic family in the mountains of Iran. His conversations with the family challenge Valentin’s idealised view of this way of life.
