Equipped only with the gear available to Henriette d’Angeville in 1838, Elise Wortley attempts to recreate in the present day the first ascent of Mont Blanc by a woman, Europe's most iconic peak. Through this endeavour, she aims to highlight the lack of female representation in the mountains while paying tribute to the forgotten women explorers of history, whose absence continues to have an impact today.
