The protagonist of the film is Tim Macartney – Snape. In 1984, he was the first person to open a new route on Everest without oxygen. Now he has another challenge ahead: climbing to the top of Mount Everest, step by step, walking each of the 8,848 m of elevation above sea level, from the Bay of Bengal to the top.
His partner, Ann Ward, a physician, joins him on his trek of more than 800 km and together they will face the dangers and fascination of the roads of India.
